can't be, ?(0)=-0.010841495
And the real answer can be posted, but only by the person who wrote the first equation, in the same post and under the assumption that he can store the rand value somewhere (or skip one complete cycle somehow)

ok i am not the only one bored
and btw your programm does not work, cause when you parse the page you get the number that you would get if you quote the original rnd (cause the page gets called twice, once for your post, second by your php )

Originally by: Sivlan Its a problem yea, you're always going to be one refresh "off". But since the script is actually reading what the post will generate, you're still technically using the same seed as the OP, but your time factor is off.
Alas. 20 minutes of php work for a chance at 5 bil =p.
Maybe I'll get partial credit?
He could split the money between those that posted a solution before your image (including that post). Would be enough for everyone
Well maybe except the "42" guys, that is soooooo old

Took out the code block. Should be better. I'm viewing at 1920x1200 so I didn't notice the problem, thanks for pointing it out.
Wasn't that bad at 1280x1024

im still trying to figure out the answer havinf 2 variables.... >.<
thnx for the headsup anyway
Send in a picture for a graph :)
y = A*x + B
where A and B are constants, and say x is the random number and y is the correct result looks to me a lot like you'd get a (linear) graph.
you can get the Values for A and B from above quote

Originally by: Rabbitgod Edited by: Rabbitgod on 06/09/2006 05:22:20 It's simple be the first to reply with the correct answer to the following math problem.
((517 / 3 x (13 x 13 x 13)) - (1.548785) x .007)=?
Show your work btw!
Since there are a [ rnd ]-tag, the closest we can get are: Here
So.. Show me the isk ---
Check your formula again and keep in mind that (a-b)*y != a*y - b Same applies to (a-b)/y which is not a/y - b
